A double-end stud has threads on both ends and no head. One threaded end is installed into a tapped hole and the other end is secured with a nut to join two workpieces where a through-bolt is not suitable.

Available in carbon steel or alloy steel and strength grades 4.8, 8.8, 10.9 and 12.9. The black oxide surface produces a thin dark film and is intended for indoor applications with low corrosion requirements. The listing references GB/T 901, GB/T 897–GB/T 900 and DIN 938, DIN 939, DIN 940.
