Chipboard screws are case‑hardened carbon steel fasteners with a sharp point and deep thread, made to DIN 7505A / GB/T 3098.25 for use in MDF, particleboard and engineered wood panels. The countersunk head is dimensioned to sit flush or fully recessed in the board. Some versions are supplied with a cutting tip to reduce splitting when driven near edges.

Standard material is carbon steel (1022A); 304 stainless steel is offered as an option. Available surface finishes include yellow zinc, blue‑white zinc and black phosphate. Screws are intended to be driven directly into wood without a tapping hole; confirm size, finish and tip type when specifying for furniture, cabinets, hinges or other carpentry installations.
