Double-end studs have threaded sections at both ends with an unthreaded shank between and no bolt head. One end screws into a tapped hole in a component, and nuts are fitted on the opposite end to clamp two parts together. This arrangement keeps the joint accessible from both sides where required.
Materials offered are carbon steel and alloy steel in strength grades 4.8, 8.8, 10.9 and 12.9. Surface treatments include black oxide, zinc plating and hot-dip galvanizing. The listing references GB/T 897, GB/T 898, GB/T 899, GB/T 900, GB/T 901 and DIN 938, DIN 939, DIN 940.
