Phillips pan head combination screw (SEMS) is supplied pre-assembled as a single unit: pan head screw with a flat washer and a spring lock washer. The flat washer spreads bearing pressure to protect the mating surface, while the spring washer provides elastic preload to help resist loosening. The washers are retained on the shank to remain with the screw during handling.

Materials include Grade 4.8 carbon steel; A2 (304) and A4 (316) stainless steel are optional. Surface finishes offered include blue-white zinc, yellow zinc and black oxide; stainless parts are plain passivated. Conforms to GB/T 9074.4, GB/T 9074.8 and DIN 6900-3.
