YP Fasteners (Handan Yuanpai Fastener Manufacturing Co., Ltd.) is a global custom fastener engineering and manufacturing center based in Handan, Hebei, China. The company produces high-strength hex bolts, structural bolts, nuts, washers, threaded rods, anchor bolts and OEM custom fasteners manufactured to customer drawings, serving distributors, EPC contractors, construction companies and industrial OEM buyers across the Middle East, Europe, Southeast Asia and Australia–New Zealand.
What Does a Custom Fastener Manufacturer Actually Do?
Many industrial fastener projects start from customer drawings rather than catalogue sizes, especially for OEM equipment, EPC packages and structural applications. As a custom fastener manufacturer, we work across the DIN, ISO, GB, EN, ASTM and ASME standard series, so the drawing is converted against the standard the project specifies. When a distributor in Rotterdam or an EPC contractor in Abu Dhabi sends over a drawing for a flange bolt that does not exist in any catalogue, the manufacturer's job is to turn that drawing into a certified, batch-traceable fastener within a defined lead time.
YP Fasteners supports drawing review, production planning and documentation control for these projects. We are a custom fastener manufacturer and bolt supplier in Handan, Hebei — one of China's largest fastener production clusters — with cold heading, CNC machining, heat treatment, surface treatment and inspection lines under one roof. Buyers work with one engineering team instead of coordinating multiple production processes and subcontractors, so EPC contractors and distributors use us as their fastener factory and sourcing partner for project-critical bolts.

Manufacturing Capabilities of Our Fastener Factory
Cold Heading and Forming
Most hex bolts from M6 to M36 are produced by cold heading on multi-station formers with continuous fiber flow, followed by thread rolling before or after heat treatment depending on fastener grade, diameter and the customer specification, to maximize fatigue life under dynamic loads.
CNC Machining for Custom Fasteners
Non-standard custom fasteners — special head shapes, oversize sockets, stepped shanks, metric and inch threads on one part — are machined on CNC lathes. Tolerances follow the customer drawing, and first-article inspection reports are issued before production runs.
Heat Treatment
Property classes 8.8, 10.9 and 12.9 are achieved through quench and temper lines with continuous hardness monitoring. Hardness, tensile strength and yield strength are verified per heat and per lot.
Surface Treatment
- Zinc plating (blue, white, black)
- Hot-dip galvanizing per ISO 1461 / ISO 10684 (or ASTM F2329 where the project specification requires)
- Dacromet / GEOMET zinc-flake coating
- PTFE / Xylan coatings for corrosion-critical service
- Black oxide and phosphate
Coating thickness is checked on the fastener surface, not the hanger, so the delivered thread fit and salt-spray performance match the spec.
Note: per ASTM F3125/F3125M, Grade A490 structural bolts must not be hot-dip galvanized (hydrogen embrittlement risk); zinc-flake coating is the recommended alternative where a protective finish is specified.
Inspection and Testing
Tensile testing (in-house machines up to 1000 kN), hardness testing (HRC / HV), salt spray testing, magnetic particle inspection and dimensional gauging are conducted according to project requirements, either internally or by qualified laboratories. EN 10204 3.1 inspection certificates are issued as standard, and 3.2 certificates where third-party witnessing is specified.

FAQ: Custom Fastener Manufacturer and Bolt Supplier Questions
Q: What is a custom fastener manufacturer?
A: A custom fastener manufacturer is a production facility that fabricates industrial bolts, nuts, studs and washers — including non-standard parts made from customer drawings — with defined materials, property classes, coatings and certificates. Three things define one: drawing review and tolerancing before production, non-standard thread and head machining, and certified batch traceability (EN 10204 3.1) on finished lots.
Q: How do I choose a bolt supplier for an overseas project?
A: Check four things: whether they can cover the standard on your drawing (DIN, ISO, GB, EN or ASTM), whether they issue EN 10204 3.1 certificates with heat traceability, whether coating thickness and thread fit are verified on the part, and whether they can consolidate or delay shipments around your project timeline.
Q: Can you manufacture fasteners from my drawing?
A: Yes. Send the drawing with material, property class, coating and thread requirements. Our engineering team reviews it, proposes any manufacturing notes, and issues a quotation with a first-article inspection plan and certificate schedule.
Q: What is the minimum order quantity?
A: For standard hex bolts, nuts and washers the MOQ is flexible and container-friendly. For custom fasteners, the MOQ depends on the manufacturing method (cold heading vs CNC machining) and we quote it openly with the part price.
Q: Do you supply stainless steel fasteners?
A: Yes — A2 (304) and A4 (316) per ISO 3506, in property classes A2-70 and A4-80, plus duplex grades for marine and chemical environments.
Q: Can you provide EN 10204 3.1 material certificates?
A: Yes, for heat-treated and stainless product lines. Certificates include chemical composition, mechanical properties and heat number, issued by the mill and our testing lab.
Q: Which ports do you ship from?
A: Tianjin port is our primary export gateway, with routing to the Middle East, Europe, Southeast Asia and Australia.
Q: Can you hold finished goods and ship later?
A: Yes — up to 180 days of free warehouse storage at our Handan facility, so you can consolidate orders and release shipments according to project needs.
