Integrally forged from carbon steel, the lifting eye bolt consists of a circular lifting ring and a threaded stud designed for hoisting machinery, moulds and steel structures. It is intended to be used with slings and steel wire ropes; vertical loading is recommended because side pull will sharply reduce the safe working load.

Surface finishes include blue-white zinc, yellow zinc and hot-dip galvanizing; 304 and 316 stainless-steel variants are offered.
